FUNDRAISING

We are happy to say that our fundraising got off to a good start as our application for the Locally Important Projects grant was successful with us being awarded £25,000 by SLDC. We are waiting to here back from our appliction to Cumbria County Council for the 0-19 Grant, so fingers crossed! Further grant appllications are underway to other awarding bodies.

We are currently finalising our application to become an official charity - an epic amount of paperwork!  We have launched a Crowdfunding page, the initial fund of which will help us to seek legal advice on out Charity application. It is a stringent and thorough process which needs legal input and we have been quoted around £1000 for legal advice on our application. Any funds not used for this will go towards funding the centre itself.

Fun and Fundraising!

We have been planning some ideas for some fun summer fundraising events.

We had a great time at Country Fest at the Westmorland showfield  - Thanks for all who came and supported us, played on the fire engine and got their faces painted.

Further ideas include an Emergency Services day on Busher Walk where children will be able to sit in real fire engines, police cars and mountain rescue trucks, and a sponsored Bubble-athon in a local park (think bubbles as far as the eye can see!!!). More details on these will appear on our Facebook page and will be added on the website as plans progeress.

Many thanks!!
